day "?
I hope I understand your question correctly.
Well, there
is a day in germany called 'Vatertag' (father's day).
It is tomorrow
(24.05.)
Officially, this day is a religious holiday (Christi Himmelfahrt),
but unofficially, this day is called 'Vatertag' by most of the germans.
Since
the Mothers have their special commemoration day (Muttertag), the fathers wanted
to have a special holiday too. So they started to celebrate the 'Himmelfahrt'
day as a Father's day.
The fathers make trips to the country (on bikes),
some wear funny straw hats and sometimes they drink a lot of beer ;-).
But
keep in mind that 'Vatertag' is not an official commemoration day here in
germany.
