Mecahnical engineerig-bases on several sciences and technologies including solid mechanics, fluid-dynamics, thermodynamics, science of material, science of manufacturing, etc. The recent rapid development of electric technology and computer technology, which has changed industrial structure on a large scale, required the change of machanical engineering to a new type of science including a new technology called "mechatronics".
To be able to accommodate to this rapid development of industrial technology, this department prepares enriched curriculum and subjects for mastery of fundamental and extensive ability of mechanical engineering. This department is also active in introducing up-to-date facilities - e.g., engineering work stations, several robots, the multi-purpose 3-action hydraulic press and the electro-hygraulic controlled material testing machine - and there are avaliable for student experiments and graduation reserch.
In this department, every student will get a good ground as a mechanical engineer with much emphasis on creative and practice not only through attractive lecturees but also well-designed practical subjects.
