He was born on August 14, 1957. He received a M.S. from Toyohashi University of Technology ( TUT ) in March. 1982 and became a research associate in Gifu National College of Technology ( GNCT) in the same year. He became an assistant professor of GNCT in April 1988. He received a Ph.D. from Toyohashi University of Technology in March 1991 and became a associate professor of GNCT in the same year and became a professor of GNCT in April 2001. He has been involved in the high-field AC properties of dielectric materials. He received a distinguished paper award from IEE Japan in 1991. From May 1995 to March 1996 he was a visiting researcher of Professor Reuben Hackam in University of Windsor, Canada. He is a member of IEEJ.
